Solo camp at Lake Burrumbeet
Lake Burrumbeet, south campground, is a scenic camp roughly 140 kilometres west of Melbourne and just 20 kilometres west of the historic gold mining town of Ballarat. The lake offers, boating, fishing and swimming with sweeping vistas of the surrounding countryside. There are toilets, picnic benches and undercover areas as well as a number of boat ramps. Whether you want to kick back at camp, take a walk along the shoreline or get out on the water this is the perfect place to get away for a few days. Lake Burrumbeet is a free camp and fires are permitted subject to the usual restrictions over summer. There is good phone reception at the camp. Dogs are allowed.
