Poitiers : la rempailleuse de chaises
August 25, 1984 Martine LEICK went to meet Marie LEPLANTE, a 79-year-old Belgian woman who has lived in Poitiers since 1915. She was a cane maker for Etablissements Martin. When her boss died, she kept the house, which is now in danger of collapsing. She manages to survive, continuing her business as best she can. For her, apprenticeship was the only way to work.
