#020 UNIMOG BUYING TIPS + our past mechanical issues

In this video Tymon and I (Becs) discuss how we bought our U1700L Mercedes Benz Unimog from Australian Frontline Machinery (the Australian Defence Force). We share the tips and tricks we used to ensure we got a good one – and we think we did pretty well. We think the tips would be helpful to anyone buying a Unimog anywhere. We also discuss some of the little truck related issues we’ve had to address (nothing major – touch wood. Mowgli has been a solid investment) and point out the additions we’ve made to the army issue truck (a winch, shocks, trailer attachment, engine guard etc.) And lastly, we muse over what our dream additions would be; what we’d like to do to make him even more “schmick” and able to do longer, more off-the-grid trips. It’s heavy on the truck talk (another reason why Becs feels the need to lighten it up with cookies).
