The Slums of Dorter is equivalent to playing through Pravoka, in FF1. The Sand Rat's Sietch is equivalent to playing through Elfheim, in FF1. ~~I can only use equipment and abilities available up to that point in FF1, in this FFT party.~~ ~~There are no special abilities, only items and magic. Of items, only Potions, Antidotes, and Softs may be used; as per the original release of FF1.~~ The first couple of battles went okay, but the last two were a slog to get through. The party will generally be underequipped, for the entirety of this playthrough. We are also locked into our starting classes, for the entire game. Get ready to see the main strategy in action - put enemies to sleep and slowly pick them off. Sleep is a spell you get in the very first town of FF1 and it's a spell that can target multiple enemies. It gets used a lot to compensate for having weaker party members. This run is going to be rough. To avoid math skill being too OP, Ramza can only cast each tier of magic a certain number of times, per battle. FF1 has magic placed into 8 tiers, with each one having a casting limit. Our party consists of: Light Warrior 1 - Red Mage (Geomancer is a strong equivalent) Light Warrior 2 - Thief (No stealing and some equipment alteration) Light Warrior 3 - Black Mage Light Warrior 4 - White Mage (with Equip Axes, to allow for White Mages using hammers in FF1). Anybody can use Items, Throw Items, Defend, or Equipment Change.
