How to use a single roller mechanical burnishing tool

Roller burnishing is a forming process used to optimize the surface of your component. Is a high surface quality required or is the desired surface quality not achieved by machining?​ ​Roller burnishing smoothes out the roughness peaks by pressing the roller of the roller burnishing tool onto the surface, resulting in plastic deformation.​ ​With the single-roll mechanical roller burnishing tools, it is possible to process a wide variety of contours. Whether cylindrical or conical outer surfaces, but also flat surfaces and bores can be optimized with these tools.​ ​In this video, our Head of Research and Development Dr.-Ing.
