USPTO Awards 2024 Patents and Trademarks for Humanity to Innovators in Green Tech Space
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and U.S. Department of Commerce honored innovators and brand owners who are using intellectual property to address environmental and climate change challenges. Since 2012 the Patents for Humanity award has showcased how patent holders have met global humanitarian challenges by pioneering innovative ways to provide affordable, scalable, and sustainable solutions. The category of this year’s award is Green Energy highlighting the challenges of adapting to climate change and the need to develop and adopt green energy sources. This is the inaugural conferring of the Trademarks for Humanity award to recognize brand owners who are harnessing the power of trademarks to help solve humanitarian challenges. The category for this inaugural award is trademarks and the environment honoring brands that work to improve the environment through the products or services they offer.
