Fall Asleep to The War Scroll | The 2,000-Year-Old Battle Plan Hidden in a Cave

This is a sleep story and biblical meditation based on the War Scroll, also known as the *Megillat ha-Milhamah*, one of the Dead Sea Scrolls discovered in Cave One at Qumran in 1947. The original scroll is housed at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. The War Scroll is not Scripture and does not carry the authority of the Bible. It is a historical document produced by the Qumran community, most commonly identified by scholars as the Essenes, who lived in the Judean Desert between approximately the second century BCE and 68 CE. The content of this video reflects how the Qumran community understood and envisioned the final conflict between good and evil, as presented in the scroll itself and interpreted through modern scholarship. All analysis, narration, and commentary in this video are the narrator's own original interpretations and are clearly identified as such throughout.
