This time, we'll introduce a round-trip course that starts from Shiiba Pass West on the Saga side and heads toward the summit of Mt. Sefuri, the main peak of the Sefuri Mountains, located on the border between Fukuoka and Saga prefectures. It passes Onigahana Rock and Tojin Mai, among other landmarks. To the starting point, Shiiba Pass West, follow the Ideno-Shiiba Line village road all the way to the ridge. There is no parking lot at the end of the forest road, so you'll have to park in an available spot on the roadside, but only enough space for 2-3 cars. Be careful of falling rocks and other hazards on the forest road, as the road narrows, so proceed at your own risk. *In addition to the trailhead used this time, there are other trailheads on the Saga side: the Kozume Pass Course, Tanaka Trailhead, and Mt. Sefuri Parking Lot. From the Fukuoka side, there are the Kurumatani Trailhead, Shiihara Pass Trailhead, and Kozume Pass Trailhead. *The forest roads leading to the trailheads are all narrow and may be closed after heavy rain, so we recommend checking road conditions in advance.
