Fully RC with 4-speed gearbox Lego Technic Dom's Dodge Charger 42111 with lights and some changes.

I finally completed my last MOC of the Lego Technic Dom's Dodge Charger 42111 complete with motorized 4-speed sequential gear box, fast RC Race Buggy motor, working head and tail lights combined with interior lights, working steering wheel, closed dashboard and some cosmetic changes! After my previous MOC of this model, which I just wanted to convert into a relatively fast RC model (compared to all the others ;-)), I thought that it had to be possible to include a motorized gearbox inside the model and that worked out great! I never played around with a Lego gearbox before so I started looking around and found that Sariel (from Sariel's Lego Workshop on Youtube) had created the perfect compact gearbox for my project! I only had to change it a little so it fitted inside the large frame. Motorizing the gearbox was a challenge due to the little space left and I used a M-motor to switch gears. I kept the Race Buggy motor for driving the model. I wanted the gearbox to work like a real one and created a mechanism which prevents it from going directly from 1st to 4th gear and vise versa. Because of relatively large footprint of the gearbox the steering had to change as well but I was able to keep a working steering wheel. I also made the interior more pleasable to the eye and kept the working head and tail lights combined with the interior lights! The tail lights still look fantastic!! This MOC kept me busy a while and I liked creating it a lot and hope that you like my work as well!
