I Was Introduced at 13- Day in the life of an Addict

Kay is only 24 years old, but his life has already been shaped by loss, trauma, and addiction. He began using at a young age, searching for love and acceptance he felt he never received from his parents. As he grew older, Kay was surrounded by death losing his best friend and later his girlfriend losses that pushed him deeper into addiction. In an attempt to escape the cycle, Kay left Baltimore for Kensington, Philadelphia. But the drugs followed him, and his life continued to spiral. Hoping for stability, he returned to Baltimore to live with his grandmother, only for tragedy to strike again when she lost her home, leaving them both homeless. Despite everything, Kay still holds onto hope. His greatest motivation to get clean is his daughter. He wants to be present, to break the cycle, and to become the father she deserves.
