Is AI racially biased?

San Francisco – the very hub of the tech industry in California – this week banned the use of artificial intelligence or AI in facial recognition of subjects. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe) The reliability of the system has been called into question over failures to satisfactorily distinguish the features of black people and particularly black women.
