2026 Maserati MCPURA Review | It’s hardly changed at all and that’s a good thing | Driving.ca
The Maserati MCPURA is a new name on a car that isn’t very new at all. Lamentable all-caps name aside, the MCPURA is the refreshed version of Maserati’s MC20 supercar which debuted in 2020. I drove the Cielo version back in 2022 and I was impressed with its carbon-tub rigidity, unique V6 soundtrack, and beautiful styling. There wasn’t much at all wrong with the MC20 so how could they improve it? The most visible changes from MC20 to MCPURA are on the outside. The MCPURA wears a redesigned front fascia and side skirts. Out back, there is a racier new rear fascia which is inspired by the hardcore MC20 GT2 Stradale. On all refreshed pieces, the new look is more angular, and modern. The differences between the new and the old are subtle, but I slightly prefer the MC20 designs for its more subtle and organic nature. Aside from those new pieces, the exterior bodywork of the MCPURA is just as we remember it and it remains free from “aerodynamic appendages” as Maserati states.
