4 Days 3 nights, 80KM XPDC (Kuala Sepetang - Taiping - Bukit Larut - Ipoh, Perak)

2025新年期间，高级童军组以及教练和家长们一起到霹雳州进行为期4天3夜的12KM和80KM步行远征考试。这次远征出发点是在马来西亚第一条铁道的起点-十八丁鱼村至太平然后最后一段路在怡保结束。这段远征虽然幸苦，但一路走来当地人民给与童军们的热心支持打气无不大大的鼓舞着童军们的继续走下去。除此之外童军们也透过参观红树林炭窑场，环绕太平城时了解那些历史古迹，参观博物馆，登上太平山等等的活动都大大的让他们增广见闻了很多新知识。在风土文化上，这次远征刚好碰上华人新年和大宝森节尤其是大宝森节的游神仪式让童军们都能更深入的了解其他族群的文化及大开眼界。 During 2025 Chinese New Year period, the Senior Scouts, along with their scout masters and parents, embarked on a 4-day, 3-night expedition in Perak, Malaysia, as part of their 12KM and 80KM walking expedition test. The journey began at the fishing village named Kuala Sepetang, the starting point of Malaysia’s first railway, and continued through Taiping before concluding in Ipoh. Despite the physical challenges, the enthusiastic support and encouragement from the local community greatly motivated the Scouts to persevere. Beyond the trek, the Scouts enriched their knowledge through various activities, including visiting a mangrove charcoal kiln, exploring Taiping’s historical landmarks, touring museums, and hiking up Maxwell Hill. Culturally, the expedition coincided with both the Chinese New Year and Thaipusam celebrations. The Thaipusam procession, in particular, provided the Scouts with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of diverse cultural traditions and broaden their perspectives.
