Level 99 Review & We Spent the 4th of July at Disney World | CTM Podcast - Ep 614

Happy 4th of July... well, sort of. We actually spent it at Disney World and we have a LOT to talk about. This week we are breaking down our full holiday experience across Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, reviewing Level 99, and getting into some news that has people already thinking about the holiday season. Yeah, Disney is moving fast this year. Let's start with the news because wow. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights tickets are officially on sale for resort guests and the prices went up again. MVMCP is starting at $189 this year, which is $20 more than last year, and those lowest price dates are only November 9th, 12th, and 17th so if you want to save a little money you know what to do. Jollywood is starting at $169, up $10 from last year, and November 16th is the only date at that price. Book early if you are going. On top of that, Food and Wine Festival kiosks are starting to pop up around EPCOT which means the most wonderful eating season is almost here. But here is the thing, the solar trash cans are spreading throughout the parks and we have some real concerns about where exactly we are supposed to sit down and enjoy our food during Food and Wine. We talk about it. And the live action Moana movie is looking like it might not be the big hit Disney is hoping for. We share our thoughts on that too. Now for the fun stuff. The 4th of July. We started the day at Blizzard Beach and All Star Sports before making our way to Magic Kingdom and eventually EPCOT. Magic Kingdom on a holiday is a whole experience and we walked you through all of it. We grabbed magic shots in Liberty Square, spotted the same Eagle Popcorn Bucket that never seems to go away, rode the Haunted Mansion, checked out Hall of Presidents because honestly it felt right on the 4th, and hit Jessie's Roundup. We also ate really well. The Cook's Corn Griddle Cakes with Chipotle Braised Chicken at $14 was a solid bite, even if they really should call it a cake and not cakes because it is one. We also stopped at Beak and Barrel, checked out South Seas Splash, Jared grabbed his drink, and we ended the night with a Cherry Limeade Float from Auntie Gravity's. The fireworks view was fantastic. Carousel of Progress, Starlight in Frontierland, closing out the park. And then THE BUS situation happened. You are going to want to hear about that one. Over at EPCOT we caught the 920th Rescue Wing flyover, got some great PhotoPass moments, watched the Voices of Liberty which is always a must on the 4th, and sat through the full American Adventure show. We hit Regal Eagle, tried Kakigori and Mitokushi, and got on some rides. It was a full day. We also got into our Level 99 review this episode.
