【大分県を走る800系新幹線】乗車率が高いのに東九州新幹線が実現できない"決定的な理由"

The Limited Express Sonic connects Hakata Station in Fukuoka Prefecture to Oita Station in Oita Prefecture via the Nippo Main Line. Currently, there are 29 round trips between Hakata and Oita, and 3 round trips on other sections, for a total of 32 round trips, making it the most frequent limited express train on conventional lines in Japan. Incidentally, the basic planned route for a Shinkansen (bullet train) exists between Hakata and Oita, where the Limited Express Sonic runs. That is the East Kyushu Shinkansen, which will connect Fukuoka City to Kagoshima City via Oita City and Miyazaki City.
