MEYLE Automatic transmission oil change - Mercedes 9 G-Tronic (725.0)

In this video, our technical trainer Wes shows us how to perform an automatic transmission oil change on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class equipped with a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission (725.0) at our Hamburg workshop. 🚗 Preparation: Before getting started, Wes takes the car for a test drive and scans it with a diagnostic device to make sure there are no fault codes and that the car is ready for servicing. 🔧 Special tools required: Hex key for removing the drain plug Special valve tool for adjusting the fill valve for draining and refilling Adapter for filling the transmission 🛠 Proceed as follows: Access and draining: Lift the vehicle, remove the plastic cover and locate the oil sump drain plug. Use the special valve tool to correctly position the fill valve. Remove the drain plug on the torque converter to fully drain the remaining oil. Oil sump and refilling: Remove and replace the oil sump, reinstall the torque converter plug and fill the new sump to Position 1 with fresh oil. Use the separately available filling device (999 990 1000/S) along with the 9G-Tronic adapter. Valve flushing: Use your diagnostic device to perform the valve flushing. Follow the on-screen instructions while keeping the engine running and the brake pedal pressed. Listen for the corresponding valve noises to confirm completion. Final checks: Once the operating temperature is reached (between 35 and 45°C), check the oil level at Position 3 and drain any excess oil while the engine is running.
