In questo talk Rosy Paparella ci fa tornare bambini per un attimo e spiega al pubblico l'importanza di non guardare solamente ai disturbi e alle difficoltà, ma ai desideri dei ragazzi che a scuola spesso non hanno la possibilità di esprimersi e fiorire. Il sistema scolastico odierno spesso tende ad ignorare la capacità di desiderare dei bambini e il mondo degli adulti guarda senza però dare loro spazio, anzi mettendo pressione e fretta in un periodo della vita fondamentale per la definizione di sè. In her speech, Rosy Paparella defines a concept she came up with, namely the specific learning desires, inspired by the well-known word 'specific learning disorders' that more and more kids are affected by these days. The traditional school system often represses kids' desires and concentrates only on identifying them with a disorder. The adult world should give them space to flourish and to cultivate their desires without rush and pressure, especially in this life phase of definition of oneself. Educator, trainer and teacher, she was the first guarantor of the rights of minors and teenagers in Apulia. She collaborates with different cultural organizations to fight against discrimination and violence against women and kids and to educate for peace.
