Today's vlog is all about a hectic workday and dealing with a major theft! The day started with fixing my car's AC, after which I headed straight to Ermook in Al-Kharj for a meter complaint. Using a cable testing machine, we located the fault, dug up the ground, and restored the voltage by applying a joint to the LV 4-Core 70mm cable Then came the real challenge! Inside a substation, thieves had cut and stolen the 13.8 kV, 50-size power cable running from the switchgear to the transformer, causing a 16-hour blackout. Since this cable cannot have joints, we had to replace it entirely by laying 60 meters of new cable (*three 20-meter pieces*) After completing both the indoor and outdoor terminations on both ends we finally turned the power back on. Ended the long day back at the room with a hot shower and dinner.
