Morgan Fisher - Inside Satie, 1985/89

Stephen Morgan Fisher is an English keyboard player and composer, he played with Queen on their 1982 tour of Europe. In 1985, Fisher moved to Japan, and started to make ambient, improvised music, TV commercials. Japanese artists he has worked with include Yoko Ono, Dip in the Pool, The Boom, Heat Wave, Shoukichi Kina, Haruomi Hosono and Kokoo. "Inside Satie" is a work where in deep meditation with Erik Satie, Morgan Fisher interpretes exquisite melancholy compositions, that have been rediscovered by the New Age movement. Erik Satie (1866-1925) was a French composer and avant-garde pianist who became a precursor to artistic movements such as minimalism, repetitive music, ambient. There were several editions and reissues of this album, including by Strawberry Records and Metrotron Records (Japan, 1985), Nightingale Records (Germany, 1989), Sacred Summits (UK, 2018).
