C.K. tries a Daxiongmao 8898 solder/hot air SMD rework station

Another really inexpensive hot air/solder station, this onefrom Daxiongmao, their 8898, came in at US$39. It's OK, with one real potential safety issue. The soldering iron is not very good, but the air gun is OK with added variable airflow, which is nice. So it's OK for $39 with this big caveat; The cables for the iron and air gun are NOT high temp silicon. They are low temp, brushing the iron against them will melt them. Inadvertently setting the iron down on the cable would melt through it creating a shock risk or potential fire hazard. For that reason I cannot recommend this one.
