Welcome back to the channel! ✈️ In this video I’m flying the Vans RV-8 and sharing a raw, unedited look at my take-offs and landings after completing my RV-8 conversion. I’m starting to build some proper hours in this aircraft now, and I genuinely love it more every single hour I fly it. The RV-8 is an incredible aeroplane.. responsive, powerful and hugely rewarding! But it absolutely deserves respect, especially on landing. With the direct drive tailwheel-to-rudder setup, you really have to work the pedals to keep things straight… but pedal too hard and you can actually make things worse. As you’ll see, that learning curve sometimes results in a few kangaroo moments on touchdown 🦘😅 This video is all about the reality of flying a high-performance tailwheel aircraft, the good, the bad, and the bouncy.. with no filters and no edits.
