Welcome to our special video lesson on cosmetic adjuvants in relation to humectants! 💡 They are hygroscopic substances. They are used in cosmetic formulations to prevent or reduce drying of the formulation. Glycerin: Glycerin functions as a moisturizer and humectant in cosmetic product formulations. It is mainly used as a humectant, skin protector, solvent, or lubricant. Usual concentration: 2.0 to 10.0%.
