Bertrand Belin : "J’aimerais bien avoir des chansons populaires" ﹂Hep Taxi ﹁

#BertrandBelin is an accomplished musician, although he has never produced a popular hit. Yet it's not for lack of desire, as he describes in this excerpt, first broadcast in July 2019. For Bertrand Belin, music came in stages. While his parents had few CDs, Bertrand's older brother had, on the other hand, accumulated a small collection of rock classics from the 50s and 60s. This was the first step in our guest's musical education, and he later discovered the band that would change everything: Dire Straits. Fascinated by the guitarist's touch, Bertrand Belin wanted to learn to do the same. He then treated us to a rendition of Down to the Waterline before being directed to the balls containing quotes. "If our civilization were to sober up two days in a row, on the third, it would die of remorse," wrote Malcolm Lowry. A phrase that leads our guest to discuss the drugs and alcohol that allow him to get through life without too much difficulty. A second ball contains the lyrics of the song "J'aime regarder les filles" by Patrick Coutin, which our guest plays for us.
