Recently, a speech made by a girl at a school sports awards ceremony caused significant controversy in society. Some people in society accepted her statement as being one hundred percent correct. However, accepting a statement made by only one party, without listening to the other parties, has no validity in the eyes of the law. In some cases, even evidence given under oath by witnesses may become unacceptable during trials when they are subjected to cross-examination.
