This week I'm playing over "Heavenly Soul" by Now YOU Shred – a live funky minor blues groove inspired by the legendary Syl Johnson. The groove on this track immediately pulled me in. I began with a warm, soulful tone before switching guitars midway through for a more overdriven sound. From there I let the energy build, mixing melodic phrasing with some faster lines while always trying to stay connected to the groove.
