The Mysterious Dot in Taiji Push Hands - Master Chen Zhonghua Practical Method
This Chinese video was taken after a private evening of Push Hands training between students at the Daqingshan Chen Zhonghua Taiji Academy in China. Master Chen Zhonghua demonstrated many of the finer points of Push Hands that he observed the students were missing, including: 1. Top / bottom separation. Only use the top to engage, switch the action to the bottom. 2. Sequential switching. From hand, elbow, shoulder, kua, knee, to foot. Each incremental stretch increases the size. 3. Identify the non moving Dot on your opponent. Lock onto the Dot, and use different body parts to rotate on the Dot. 4. To Follow. Identify your opponent's line, and follow it. 5. To Add One. Sequential addition of body parts into an action.
