Maite Orsini en exclusiva responde al falso y malintencionado reportaje de Canal 13

In an exclusive interview with La Voz de los que Sobran, Representative Maite Orsini responded to the report broadcast by Canal 13 and categorically denied the accusations against her. “What Canal 13 said is completely false. The director of the service confirmed it: I never asked to be a foster family,” she stated, explaining that the report was based on a 2023 email that—according to her—was misinterpreted and did not lead to any formal request. She also pointed to a document from Republican Representative Benjamín Irarrázabal to which the emails that later reached the media outlet were allegedly attached. The congresswoman also expressed her concern about the media exposure of a minor under state protection and questioned the responsibility of those who disseminated the information. “It is irresponsible to subject a child to media exposure,” she affirmed. Orsini maintained that there are exploitation networks affecting minors in residential care and warned that these types of situations can increase their vulnerability. “I’ve worked in TV since I was 6, but this broke me because of the harm done to a girl I love,” she said, demanding that the justice system investigate who leaked confidential information that, she claims, ended up causing serious harm to a protected minor.
