My First Time Exploring Islam in Timor-Leste Will AMAZE You!
In this video, I travel to Timor-Leste, the least visited country in Asia, to explore a side of it few people know exists — its peaceful and deeply rooted Muslim community. In the capital city of Dili, I visit Masjid An-Nur, meet the local imam, and have heartfelt conversations with members of the Muslim community about their history, challenges, and daily life in this Catholic-majority country. I also show you the few halal restaurants in Dili, Timor Leste. What I found was both humbling and inspiring — a small but strong group of people keeping their faith alive with dignity and warmth. Beyond the spiritual journey, I also dive into some of the most biodiverse waters on Earth. Scuba diving off the coast of Timor-Leste, within the Coral Triangle, gave me a glimpse into a marine ecosystem that’s still untouched and teeming with life. To wrap up the adventure, I jump on a scooter and ride into the mountains to Dare, a peaceful village overlooking Dili, where I take in breathtaking views and reflect on everything I experienced. Timor Leste is a super beautiful country and one of the most underrated countries ive ever visited.
