Everybody has their own opinions about how doors should be on different cars, but my personal opinion is that these mid engine Corvette should have Vertical Doors. By the way, they are Vertical Doors, not Lambo doors, because Lamborghini is only 1 of many like the Mclaren F1, Mclaren P1, BMW I8, Ferrari Enzo, LaFerrari, Ford GT, and even the Toyota Sera that uses a vertical hinge system! When Vertical Doors Inc needed a test car to develop and install from scratch a new kit, I lent them my car and after a week and a few different designs, they came up with the best system and it's been great. It's definitely made getting in and out of the car a little bit easier, and also a lot easier when parking in tight spots that you can't avoid. you can still actually get out of the car without raising the door if you want. The system works very simply and is easy to use. I can lift and close the door with one hand. Everywhere I've gone the first comment has always been that people loved the vertical doors, including the Chevy dealership lol.
