首都圏で震度５強　鉄道の混雑続く（2021年10月8日）

Last night, an earthquake measuring 5+ on the Japanese seismic intensity scale struck the Tokyo metropolitan area. The earthquake has resulted in several injuries and has also affected railway services. The Nippori-Toneri Liner, which derailed while in operation yesterday, has been suspended since the first train. Restoration efforts have been underway since the morning, but there is no estimated timetable for the resumption of service. People lined up near Toneri Liner stations waiting for buses. At Kawaguchi Station in Saitama Prefecture, schedules were disrupted, causing congestion on the platform and temporarily restricting access. Long lines of passengers unable to enter the platform formed outside the station. In addition, water pipes burst in various locations, causing flooding. In Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, water gushed out of a water pipe over a river. However, there appears to be no significant water outages. According to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency, a total of 32 injuries have been confirmed in Tokyo, Saitama Prefecture, and other prefectures.
