L'Histoire de Kande est une vrai histoire basée sur la compte racontée par un pasteur africain sur les enfants de sa communauté. Cette histoire tourne autour de Kande, une jeune fille africaine de 12 ans dont le père et mère meurent du SIDA. Elle et ses cinq frères et sœurs sont laissés orphelins et doivent se débrouiller par eux-mêmes. Cette histoire raconte les nombreux problèmes et dangers auxquels ils font face juste essayer de vivre. Il raconte comment les gens dans leur communauté, en particulier les gens de l'église locale, les a aidés dans leur temps de besoin. Ils apprennent aussi que, en suivant les instructions de Dieu pour la vie, ils peuvent éviter de contracter le SIDA lui-même ou la transmettre aux autres.
