LavaLock Quick Coal Access Door | How to Install | WSM Door Mod

In this video I'll be walking you through how to install the Quick Coal Access Door from LavaLock on a 18'5" Weber Smokey Mountain. The LavaLock Quick Coal door comes in two sizes which respectively fit the 18.5" and 22" WSM. These doors also can be used on 30 gallon and 55 gallon drum smokers (UDS). The LavaLock door replaces the old existing factory Weber Smokey Mountain door. The LavaLock Quick Coal door comes unpainted, so you will need to paint it once you have marked and drilled the necessary holes to mount it. While you can paint it any color with any type of paint, I chose to paint it black using: Duplicolor Engine Enamel w/ Ceramic Primer Duplicolor Engine Enamel w/ Gloss Black Duplicolor Engine Enamel w/ Gloss Clear You can wet sand the clear coat and polish it to get an amazing finish.
