No-Till Sugar Beets
Here we are no-tilling sugar beets in West Central Minnesota. Everyone says you can't no till sugar beets because you need a perfect seed bed. But we have noticed that we can no till beets in out cover crop mixes with major success so it only makes sense that it should work as a cash crop. We are also seeing that the best seed bed possible is in a healthy soil with no-till, so there is another reason this should work. Stay tuned as we watch this field through the summer!
