How to Measure and Shim Your Tremec T56 Performance Clutch (For Camaro and LS Swaps)

You're taking a big risk if you don't check this! Your new race clutch might require a shim to ensure correct throwout bearing travel and operation, here's how to make sure before bolting your transmission to the engine. My Digital Caliper: https://amzn.to/3gOhluo (affiliate link) If your new performance clutch needs a shim and you put it together without running one, your clutch may not engage or disengage (if you're lucky). If you're unlucky, your clutch may only partially engage, which robs holding power, gives clutch slip, and can overheat and ruin your clutch if left unresolved. Save yourself a lot of time and headache by taking a few minutes to do these measurements during assembly to ensure your setup is rock solid!
