#068 - Tropenklima auf dem Ducksteinhof - 30 Grad, Regen und Luftfeuchtigkeit

Greetings from Ducksteinhof! We had planned to get a lot done around the farm this weekend – but the weather had other ideas. After a lot of rain, the heat suddenly arrived: over 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit), oppressive humidity, and what felt like a tropical climate on our old farm. With high humidity and wet ground, it quickly became clear: major renovations weren't really feasible today. Nevertheless, there was still plenty to do. After an appointment with the city about our leaky skylight, I temporarily sealed two open bays in the exterior wall. Then it was a matter of getting the farmyard back under control: the nettles in the orchard had exploded after all the rain, and then a fallen tree suddenly blocked the way. We also tested our new pressure washer, continued working on the leaky toilet roof, and prepared for the next big step: rebuilding the floor slab in the manor house. Even though this time there was less spectacular renovation work, days like these are all part of our project. An old farm won't wait – rain, heat, or tropical conditions. Enjoy the show! ...
