Mid-Week Checkup: Grateful for Growth, Not Just Blessings

Welcome to Mid-Week Checkup Wednesday. On Monday, we talked about being grateful for growth, not just blessings. Today, we are checking in to ask ourselves an important question: Have we been thanking God only for what He gives us, or have we also been thanking Him for what He is growing in us? Sometimes we are quick to thank God for the open doors, answered prayers, financial blessings, opportunities, healing, and breakthroughs. But growth is also a blessing. The patience you are learning is a blessing. The discipline God is building in you is a blessing. The discernment you are developing is a blessing. The strength you gained through the process is a blessing. The correction that brought you back into alignment is a blessing. 📖 Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” This is your reminder that God is not just trying to give you more. He is making you ready for more. A blessing can open a door, but growth helps you steward what is behind that door. Before this week ends, take a moment and thank God for one thing He has blessed you with, one area He is growing you in, and one situation you do not fully understand yet but are choosing to trust Him through. Your growth is not punishment. Your process is not wasted. Your waiting is not empty. Your stretching has purpose. God is working in you, even when everything around you does not look perfect. What situation do I need to stop complaining about and start trusting God through? 4. What lesson is God trying to teach me in this season? 5. How can I practice gratitude before the blessing fully manifests? Mid-Week Declaration I am grateful for the blessing, but I am also grateful for the growth. God is developing me, strengthening me, correcting me, and preparing me. I will not despise the process. I will give thanks in everything because God is working in me.
