820 km bikepacking adventure across four islands

This is a story about our bikepacking adventure in the Canary Islands. Two weeks, four islands, three ferries and 820 km in the legs. Crossing Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife on our bikes, between the ocean and the mountains, eating a lot of potatoes, elevation, and always stopping to say hi to cats, and occasionally, chipmunks. Always check rules and use official camping areas whenever possible. When doing a simple overnight bivouac, follow a few low-impact principles: • Leave no trace — leave the place exactly as you found it, or better • No litter of any kind, including toilet paper • Set up late, leave early • No multiday stays • No fires • Avoid protected / sensitive natural areas • Prefer official campsites or already disturbed places (near roads, towns, parking areas, etc.) rather than untouched nature • Keep noise and visual impact low • Respect locals, wildlife, and other travelers 00:00 Intro 02:39 Lanzarote 07:05 Fuerteventura 14:25 Gran Canaria 23:16 Tenerife 33:35 Random photos 33:55 Brands #bikepacking #traveldocumentary #gravel #bikepackingdocumentary #gravelcycling #cycling #canaryislands #travelvlog
