Episode 5 - Tour & Shopping at Green Mountain Spinnery, VT
I had an amazing opportunity to tour green Mountain Spinnery, Putney, Vermont. Kate Salomon one of the owners of the mill through the cooperative, gave me a fabulous tour. I’m very grateful for her time. And Marley from the business office spoke with me at the end of the tour and shared some of the background about what it means to be a cooperative business. It was so interesting but also such an amazing opportunity. Everyone at the mill was gracious. Watch the equipment, some has been in operation for over 100 years, and in some case, they were pieced together by the original founders of the mill, who scoured the world for parts to build their own machinery to create a mill that supported their values. I hope you will enjoy the video and have an opportunity to visit the Spinnery. The sweater I am going to knit is Yoga Pants. @greenmountainspinnery9192 Vermont Country Deli, Brattleboro, VT
