Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a viral disease of cats that occurs throughout the world. It is a complex disease to diagnose and was previously fatal for most cats. However, in the last 3 years, significant developments have occurred in treatment and now many cats can be cured, but the treatment is prolonged and expensive. This means we must be as sure as we can be of the diagnosis, yet preserve funds for therapy. Sam will discuss the steps in making a confident diagnosis of FIP, the complexities of treatment with anti-virals, monitoring, adverse effects and prognosis, with an open Q&A following her presentation.
