How to control Fall armyworm in maize || Crop Reformer

Fall army worm (Spodoptera frugiperda) has emerged as a hard to kill insect in the maize crop. It is not easily controled through any insecticide on later stages if not properly addressed well in time. Previous year, we conducted a special trial (on the same trial of screening of herbicide) on the comparative control of fall army worm in maize. Vayego 200 SC (tetraniliprol) Bayer @ 100 ml, Radiant Arysta (Spintoram), Coragen (chlorantraniliprol) of FMC and emamectin alone were applied on10 and16 days after germination of maize. Vayego 200 SC (tetraniliprol) Bayer @ 100 ml and Radiant Arysta (Spintoram) @ 80 and 100 ml/acre, no doubt an expensive insecticide so far but both gave long durational effective control , the former is not as expensive as later insecticide. That is why, it is suggested professional solution to apply Vayego 200 SC (tetraniliprol) Bayer @ 100 ml Radiant Arysta (Spintoram) @ 80 – 100ml/ acre instead of residual pesticides like Recter super for the control of fall army worm. #fallarmyworm #maize #cropreformer
