Luto en Úbeda por la muerte violenta de una mujer a manos de su expareja

Jaén, Sep 22 (EFE) - Several hundred people gathered today outside the city hall of Úbeda (Jaén) to express their condemnation, sorrow, and revulsion over the violent death of a 40-year-old woman last night in the town. Her 51-year-old ex-partner was arrested. The Úbeda City Council called for this rally and declared three days of mourning for this violent death, while also deciding that flags will be flown at half-mast in a sign of mourning. Úbeda City Councilor for Women, Josefa Chinchilla, read a manifesto against gender-based violence, and a minute of silence was observed afterward.
