Woman dies after suspect crashes stolen car, says police

A woman was killed in Boston Saturday after a carjacking suspect hit her with the stolen vehicle, said police. Police said the suspect, who has not been named at this time, was first involved in a car crash, then carjacked someone and was speeding when he struck the woman as she crossed the street. Dailina Duverne witnessed the collision and said she ran from the car before it struck the victim. "It came so fast, we didn't know what was going on," she told CBS News Boston. "High speed. Everybody was trying to get out of the way." Witnesses say, after the collision, a bus turned to cut off the driver and stop him from fleeing. Witnesses then kept the suspect at the scene until police arrived and took him into custody. "The bus saved a lot of people's lives because he was out of control," Duverne said. "He tried to run away, and a lot of guys held him down and they had to punch him. He was still fighting, and some people had to fight him."
