This Engine Shouldn’t Look Like This… (Dirt Bike Engine Teardown)

#dirtbike #enginerebuild #teardown Got handed an old dirt bike that’s been sitting out in the weather for who knows how long… so instead of trying to revive it, we decided to tear it down and see what’s actually going on inside. This one was never going back together — it’s too far gone overall — but that makes it the perfect candidate for a full strip and a bit of mechanical curiosity. We jump into the video part way through the teardown, with the plastics, tank, and seat already out of the way, and get straight into the guts of the engine. The surprising part? It’s not as bad as you’d think. The cylinder is completely toast —scored and not reusable — but the rest of the engine tells a very different story. The piston and crank look almost new… which raises a few questions about what actually happened here 🤔 Was it rebuilt and then left to sit? Starved of oil?
