This exercise will help you counteract jaw muscles -- muscles that cause you to "bite" too much on the mouthpiece. It will make it easier to go over the breaks, play high notes, have a full sound, reduce air leakage and voice notes properly. Plus, if you don't have your instrument handy, you can still keep that embouchure in shape!
