Topics covered: • Understanding Genetic Dilated Cardiomyopathy Dr. Neal Lakdawala, cardiologist and cardiovascular genetics specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, discussed genetic dilated cardiomyopathy, including what it is, how it is inherited, how it is diagnosed, and what genetic findings may mean for patients and families. • The DCM Share Project Dr. Lakdawala also introduced the DCM Share Project, a patient-centered research registry advancing DCM research through shared data and collaboration.
