Teaching Techniques | Lesson I | How to Teach Guitar

Here we go. This is the reason I started posting covers to YouTube. I used covers to teach myself how to record, video edit, and produce content with this always being the objective. In this lesson, I cover my approach to an introductory guitar lesson for beginners, and discuss the methodology behind it. Additionally, I discuss other important considerations such as time management and lesson preparation. This series is designed to provide an educational resource for guitarists and musicians with little to no teaching experience that are aspiring educators. Here, I will cover how I approach subsequent lessons, general music concepts, and teach specific songs as a blueprint for guitarists and musicians to base their lessons on. My intention and hope is that this will aid in opening more financial avenues for guitarists and musicians to make music their primary source of income. The more guitarists making a living off of music is a better world. Though, I am clearly biased in that ambition as a guitarist myself. Today is my birthday, and this is my gift to myself. 0:00 - Introduction & Notes 5:03 - Part I: Set-up 9:17 - Part II: Initial Playing 13:34 - Part III: Second Session 14:35 - Part IV: Third Session 21:26 - Part V: Fourth Session 23:35 - Part VI: Fifth Session 29:15 - Part VII: Concluding the Lesson 33:43 - Part VIII: Closing Notes 36:27 - Conclusion: THANK YOU! #Guitar #MusicEducation #GuitarLesson #Strandberg
