THE FIRST DAY Of Route 299's EARLY TAKEOVER (With TEMPORARY E200 BANDITS) Sullivan Buses - GoAhead

Today is the first day of route 299 GoAhead operation. The route was meant to pass to GoAhead in 2025. However Sullivan Buses withdrew from TfL services today, Meaning they no longer run routes 217, 298, 299, 327, 389, 399, 549, 605, 606, 617, 629 and W9. Routes 389 and 399 were suspended today, They will be run by GoAhead in the future. Route 299 now uses YX61 plate Enviro 200s. These were transfered from Merton (AL) garage, And were used on route 200. Route 299 runs from Muswell Hill Broadway to Cockfosters Station. Via Bounds Green Station, And Southgate Station. Brand new electric single deckers have been ordered for the 299, 389 and 399. As this change was unplanned, Buses are not tracking on iBus. There are also no fares on all routes taken on by other operators. Route 299 was run by Sullivan Buses until today. The route ran from South Mimms (SM) garage, Which will close on Monday. The route used Streetlites and E200 MMCs. Route 299 had a crosslink with routes 389 and 399. It wasn't used today as the 389 and 399 were suspended. Route 299 is 6 miles (9 km) long. The route runs around every 15 to 30 minutes. A full journey on route 299 takes 21 to 38 minutes, And the route runs from 05:49 until 00:33. Route 299 commenced operation on 1 February 1992.
