Francia Márquez Mina: “Colombia es un país pensado desde el neoliberalismo”

Colombian Afro-Colombian social leader and feminist, Francia Márquez Mina, a pre-candidate for president in her country's 2022 elections and renowned for her advocacy for her native Cauca region, visited Buenos Aires. There, among other activities, the 2018 Goldman Environmental Prize winner visited the headquarters of the CLACSO Executive Secretariat. During her visit, she participated in the InfoCLACSO event on Wednesday, November 3, where she described the historical and current situation in Colombia and also spoke about the displaced and excluded from their land, Afro-descendants across the continent, the environment, and recounted her own experience working in the mines as a teenager. Francia Márquez Mina was one of the participants in the 1st National Meeting of Afro-Argentine Community Organizations, convened by the National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Racism (INADI) in conjunction with the Province of Entre Ríos and its Secretariat of Culture. #Colombia #FranciaMárquezMina
