A Follower Called the Coastguard to Find Us

Something we've never experienced before — a follower tracked us on AIS, called the Norwegian Coastal Watch, and got them to patch a phone call through to us at sea! 🇳🇴 The generosity of people on this journey continues to blow us away. In this episode we round the very southern tip of Norway and head northwest along the coast — navigating fog, North Sea swell, and a busy shipping traffic system near Stavanger. We stop at Egersund (where the supermarket is literally called KIWI — had to laugh), then make our way to Hafrsfjord, where a follower has a dock waiting for us, cooks us a traditional Norwegian dinner, and sends us home with incredible gifts. And then it's off to see Norway's legendary Three Swords monument — the site of one of the most epic Viking battles in history, where thousands of Vikings came by boat to fight for control of all Norway.
