Mechanics of Aerostructures - Module 1 - Shear flow example part 1
So now we're going to go further into what shear flow is, but - more importantly for our purposes - how it helps us solve for the shear centre of thin-walled sections. We do the bulk of the legwork of the first problem from the notes (determining the shear flows in each section), and then the last lecture this week will be using those shear flows to solve for the value of "e" that gives zero net moment and hence must be the shear centre.
